Shopping in Paris

lori-fullI recently had the opportunity to visit Paris to buy furnishings and research products for several clients. With my Sherpa/assistant/style guru, Lawson, in tow (his first trip to Paris!), we conquered Maison & Objet, the world famous St-Ouen Flea Market and some of the most beautiful furniture galleries in the world.

lori-lawsonSuccessful, fabulous and exhausting is a perfect summary of the trip. From the moment we landed, we were non-stop! Directly from the airport we went to the hotel to drop our bags off, then we set out to buy, buy, buy!

Our first stop was to meet up with our NY client to do some furniture shopping. Introducing her to all my favorite galleries on Rue Bonaparte and Rue de Seine in the 6th Arrondissement was a treat for all three of us. We picked up truly fabulous and unique pieces for our client’s fifth avenue apartment.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE AMAZING PIECES WE PURCHASED ALONG THE WAY!

After several days of antiquing and shopping the galleries for art and furniture, we spent a full day at Maison & Objet (the largest furniture trade shows in the world). We walked and talked until we couldn’t see straight.

One of the highlights of the trip (as usual when you are in Paris!) were the amazing meals. We dined at L’Avenue, Plaza Athenee, and Del Papa, to name a few. My favorite dinner was at Le Hibou where my husband surprised me by planning an evening with several of my dear friends, including Ken Pilot, president of ABC Carpet & Home, Olympia Orsini, a famous interior designer in Rome (Onepieceart), our Parisian friend Jonas and his adorable friend, and, of course, my assistant Lawson!! After having the most amazing tuna tartar and drinks we headed to Club Matignon where we danced all night and had the best time!

The next day we explored the Paris Flea Market, which I will be telling you all about in my next blog!

Our last day in Paris was the best because it was a shopping day for Lawson and me. You can’t visit Paris and not update your closet!!!!

We hit all the best little boutiques, including: L’ECLAIREUR, Iro, Twin Set, Elisabetta Franchi, Sandro, Hermes, Carven, and so many more!
